On
the
Road
Again!!
I sure can relate to Willie Nelson's hit song, "On the Road Again." Now
that winter is fast approaching us Buttonwood Press is off to a new
place every weekend. We are getting offered new shows weekly to attend.
This year has been a busy year for us and we are so thankful!!! And, so
far, book sales have been fantastic. And, furthermore, meeting my fans
and lots of new people is a real treat!!
News from
Rich...
It is holiday craft show time so the
transition from outside shows to inside shows is underway. So far
we’ve been to Perry with St. Mary in Williamston and DeWitt Junior High
coming up in the next two weekends. They tell me that people line
up and burst in to see the vendors at the Chesaning Craft Show on Nov.
27 and 28. On Dec. 3rd we’ll be at the Delta College Craft Show
in the Saginaw area. We were admitted to the Michigan State
Holiday Craft Show on Dec. 5-6 which is HUGE.
Suzanne Johnson joins the Buttonwood
Press team as Office Manager. Suzanne works part-time and will
help us get our “books” in order (pun intended), book orders filled,
and data bases up to date. She is a welcome addition to the
team. The business is getting a bit bigger than a one-man show.
Administration Can Be Murder has been
reprinted. Suzanne reports that the storeroom will soon have all
10 of the mysteries for sale. Administration Can Be Murder has
been out of print for some time, but now we are stocked and will change
our order page to reflect their availability.
Our books are now on Amazon.com.
You can get them at a much cheaper rate from our web site, but for
those who like to show Amazon, you can now get our books there.
Facebook up and running. Please
ask to be my friend on my facebook page and you’ll be kept up to date
through that medium while you are checking out news from your favorite
facebook friends.
New Stores!!!!!
We
are
pleased
to announce that our books are with new retailers.
Thanks to Cherri Allen of Auburn, between Midland and Bay City, who has
our books in her most attrractive Feed 'N Seed store. Cherri is a
fan of the mysteries and enjoys selling them to her
customers.
Murder
at
the
Ingham County Fair is on sale now.
This, the 10th mystery novel is hot off the press. The book is
available now and ready to make wonderful holiday gifts and of course a
whole host of shows, talks, and festivals. You can order off of the web
site order
form.
The 11th Book
The
11th
is
not off the press and already people are asking me about the
next book. There are three possible titles and each is in a stage of
being written. Locked in with Murder has been on the back burner for a
couple of years and is in the lead to be the next mystery. I would like
to do a winter mystery and may involve the Tip-Up-Town festival in
Houghton Lake. The third one which is only in the idea stage is "All in
Favor, Say Die!" This book would feature the Michigan Legislature
tackling the motorcycle helmet law or repeal of same.
Audio Version is
Available
After
telling
numerous
people, "Sorry, no, I do not have an audio version of
the book," I decided to do it. So, Murder at the Ingham County Fair
will be available in audio; MP3 or multiple disks. The cost is $19.95.
I am the reader (anything to save a buck). Somehow I don't think I
could afford, James Earl Jones!!
Manistee
-
What
a wonderful evening!
Last
October,
I
was honored to be one of four mystery authors invited to
present at the Manistee Public Library. My friends Ed Andrews and
Stephanie Oden were on hand to make sure I had my Diet Coke and a
sufficient amount of M & Ms. The audience was responsive,
asked great questions, and seemed to enjoy getting into my head.
Well,
lots
of
book orders coming in so I must be on my way. Thanks for
visiting my web site and I hope to see you at one of the upcoming
shows. My best, Rich.
